When going over New York on Tuesday in the plane, I was struck by the number of pools I saw in the backyards of homes right on the waterfront. There were neighbourhoods upon neighbourhoods full of pool-equipped houses, but every once in a while there was a house without a pool. I couldn't help but think "haha, you have no pool!" before I realized that I, too, have no pool.

As Dad would say, we spent a week in Ikea today. Got many great pieces of furniture, but are still missing some key factors (a sofa bed, a tv, dvd player, kitchen table). So we will have to go out again soon (like, tomorrow) to see if we can find these items.

We went shopping yesterday. Guess which store I did not find that perfect skirt in? Damn you, self-imposed fortunes!! I just ate some chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream and I'm officially full now. For like, another 2 minutes. Hehe.
