Our Little Trooper
This is Marshmallow.

She is our family's resident guinea pig. She's cute, loveable and loves to sing. No, this isn't a dating profile. Today, I was patting Marshie and noticed she had a sunflower seed in her mouth. Thinking she was holding it, I thought nothing of it. Later, when giving her food, I noticed the seed was still in her mouth. I picked her up and we noticed that her bottom teeth were actually through the top of the seed.

This is the seed. You can see the two tiny holes where her teeth poked through. Scary. But, Al rushed Marshie to the emergency animal hospital, and the doctor easily removed the seed. I'm proud to report that our brave little piggie is happy and eating her midnight snack. Al wants me to mention that the visit to the animal hospital cost $120. A small price to pay for the health of our pig!
