May 1st Goodness!

Get it while it's hot and fresh... cartoons, that is.

In 23 hours, the Life's A Cartoon Blog will be up for business... well, technically it already is. But there will be new posts there daily instead of the geocities account. So please please please check it out. I work so hard on them. I know that some people may be offended with its content, so remember it's all in good (semi-clean) fun.

PS: A comment or two never hurt anyone, either. No pressure. Hehe.

1/4 Exams Complete

What's up with profs changing the exam format up until the day before the exam? Seriously. That's just... *scream*. I checked the course forum for that class today (ie 6 hours after the exam ended) and saw that the prof had clarified a question on the exam - a whopping 9 hours before the exam was to start! I guess I should have checked again before the exam, but who would expect something like that? Really.

Other than that, I *think* the exam went well. Three hours of constant writing (3 essay questions) = hurting. My hand, my fingers, my elbow, my shoulder. Especially my head. And now I have to study for 3 more exams. No whining. No whining.

Congrats to those who had their last exam today. You suck. *grin*.

A Monday Funny

I don't know how much of this is true, but it's funny anyway. It's always funny to me when people applying at the bookstore don't fill out the full application, or put "My Psychology Textbook" under recently read/recommended books, or come in without a pen (we usually put "no pen" at the top of the application - they are not called).

Enjoy.

Life's a Cartoon Blog will be up and running on May 1. Until then, the geocities website (here) will still be operational.

Thanks for all of your continuing support for my newfound hobby. I appreciate it. :)

I just finished watching my last psych lecture. The prof obviously enjoyed teaching the course, but he said that his major anxiety is that, in the future, his students won't remember who the prof was forht introductory psych class. He doesn't want to be remembered as "the bald guy", but by "the cool guy who showed lots of videos."

So, as a farewell gesture, he showed a video full of clips from the course. To "We Will Rock You/We Are the Champions." Great times. I laughed, I cried. I stressed out trying to remember the point of the videos. Must... start... studying.

"No More Teachers..."

Today was the last day of class and I feel relieved. However, I know this relief will be short-lived... I have SO much to read and study before my four exams at the end of the month. Must read Wuthering Heights, Byron's 30+ page (in 10 point font) poem "Manfred," Melville's "Billy Budd" as well as any other poems from the Romantic poetry class that I skimmed over. So much to read. I also want to revise my other 2 stories for my fiction workshop, maybe post them... I'm so impressed with how my writing has improved in the past few months.

This school year was great. At times it was challenging. No, most of the time it was. I met some great people this year, but also some friends shocked me with their irresponsibility and negative attitude regarding school and themselves. Some people need to grow up. Anyway. I read some awesome novels, but Dystopian fiction was definitely the best course of the year.

Now to start thinking about next year...
