there are no nose laughs involved in essay writing
Ah. I love taking breaks from 5+ hours of essay writing. I love English, and I love being an English Specialist, but I hate writing essays, especially 3 in 3 weeks. While it is, I admit, my fault for leaving them until now, I have been doing a lot of thought, research and outlines on these essays - it's now just a matter of writing. My current project is on a book full of myths, and it was our job to pick one aspect of the book and discuss it. Easy? Hell no. Having taken two mythology courses last year, I had a good idea of where the myths strayed from their original stories, but most of the people in the class are absolutely lost. A typical question on our class's discussion board is "what's the book ABOUT?", or "is (insert one of millions of episodes in the book) supposed to represent a myth? I DUN GETTIT" (there are a lot of spelling, grammar and common sense mistakes on the discussion board). Anyway. I'm almost finished: 1 paragraph, conclusion and editing. Hoorrah. On to essay #2: 1984 vs. North Korea

...and the essay is done. I feel so good - I want to take some time and relax, maybe watch 1984 in preparation for my next essay - but I work in 4 hours, need to read Chapter 7 for Psych (at least start it before the first lecture on it, which is tomorrow), finish my Psych assignment, read three novels AND find time to start the next essay. All in all, it will be a busy week.
congratulations on finishing your essay! i took have finished mine today!!! it seems as though after i cross one task off of my list, 5 more are added to it.
hopefully after all of these assignments and tests we can see each other soon! :)
all the best,

and when i wrote "i took have finished mine today", i clearly meant "too". hahaha. tired mind.
Haha, nerd. I knew what you meant.
Congrats on finishing YOUR essay. I know how it feels to add more to an already growing list of responsibilities. We should have sushi (REAL sushi with REAL chopsticks) with Meg as soon as we're finished. Deal?
Sushi? I love sushi!
...weren't we supposed to go out for sushi months ago? Why does life get in the way? :(
Stupid University, getting in our way of fun and sushi dinners/poutine lunches.
Even though I complain about Psych, it is interesting and sure beats writing yet another essay. Next session will be much better: Psych AND the creative writing (fiction), so only 3 essays. Score!
Gillian, how about next wednesday? Tomorrow is a little short notice, and I have way too much to read before then. Hows about it?
This Wednesdady sounds good to me if you're available. What time, do you think? I have class at 3, so like... 1:30? I don't know if I can make it much before that because I have an essay due the next day and I'm sure I'll be doing much-needed editing.
Outside H wing caf? Sounds good. I have written it on my whiteboard as I write this. :)
