Essay #2 finished, starting my essay on the story of Sarah from the Bible and egg imagery in the Stone Angel. Fun... I'm not looking forward to reading the book for the third time, though. It was bad enough the second time knowing EVERYTHING that was going to happen.
Anyway. Last night we had a store meeting that was from 8pm-12am. Way too long to stay at the store, considering I started my shift at 4 and it was the day from hell. Oh well. I won a prize for getting 100% on a mystery shop a few months ago, which is good. It shows that, even though I'm no longer BUBBLY, I can still do my job well. So HA to you, stupid managers. *ahem*.
I'm currently reading Oryx and Crake by Atwood, and I can say that, so far, it is interesting. It must be one of her uncharacteristic novels, as it is actually GOOD.
Ta ta for now, I will update when I finish my next essay...

Hey Al,
I'm glad you liked the book. I'm 100 pages (or so) in, and it seems interesting although I am quite lost. The whole introduction to Oryx really grossed me out, but I guess that's expected, considering her past as a 9 year old porn star? Not sure where that will lead in the novel, though.
It's interesting to compare all of these dystopias, though (we've already studied Brave New World, Nineteen Eighty Four, Fahrenheit 451, The Chrysalids, Blade Runner, Brazil, The Matrix, The Giver... and will be reading Never Let Me Go next).
Hope your last month of class this session is treating you well, because it sure is kicking the crap out of me. Hehe.
