Gonna have to tell her tonight...

Yes, Kate successfully got us tickets to see Franz Ferdinand in October. Thanks, Kate. I really can't wait - they are awesome live. We're really close to the stage, in the first level of seating the closest to the stage. Woohoo!

On a non-related note... Did anyone else get major problems after the storm? Thank goodness I was at Chris', but my house was hit hard, due to a possible tornado in my area AND a powerbox being hit by lightning (which my brother witnessed). Our power went out at 4:00pm yesterday and only came back around 4:30 am this morning. It was fun attempting to read (and failing horribly), playing Uno and learning how to play Texas Hold 'Em by candlelight.

Another thing happened to our family this past week. My Grandmother adopted a dog. Her name is Indie, and she's the calmest dog I've ever met. She really is an interesting breed, too. We were told that she's Sato, mixed with Dalmation, but we can't find anything on Satos...

Anyway, that's it for now. I'm sure I'll add more when I get my booklist on Monday... I can't wait.

i don't really know why i was so worried about not being able to get tickets to the concert. i checked again and standing floor tickets are STILL available!!! i guess not many people know that they are coming to town... either that or they don't care.

nonetheless, i am very excited about our little "date". ;) i cannot wait to dance and sing along to our favourite song (which we used to blast after the store closed), "Michael". i must warn you though, my dancing resembles that of a person having a seizure. but im sure you won't mind, right? ;) gosh, i have this big silly grin on my face. i cannot wait!!!

ajax was barely touched by last night's storm. no floods. no black outs. just a beautiful yet heavy rainfall which corresponded well with my "HOUSE OF LEAVES" reading.
