To emphasize how much the American Lit class sucks, my friend and I counted the number of times the prof said "um" or "uh." Total after 1 1/2 hrs: 348. 15 "Okays," too.
That beats his previous record of 252.

just out of curiosity, what tracking system did you use to count the "um"s and "uh"s uttered by your professor? did one person tally the "um" part while the other was responsible for the "uh"? or was "um" and "uh" generic? or did each of you take turns recording this data?
as for the meaning of life... gameboy?!?!? pshaw, i say. clearly, the meaning of life involves gord downie (well atleast in my case.) as mentioned in gord's lyrics, "i exist because you exist. and when you're gone, i'm going too." or something along those lines... (and yes he wrote those lyrics for me. it's ambiguous as to whom he is directing these words to when you first read/hear it, but seeing as how gord and i are soulmates, it's obvious that it's me.)

As for the counting, it was a group effort. As I was actually making notes in the class, as opposed to my other friends, they had to help me with the ones I missed when writing my info down. Sometimes I missed a few if they were quick, but most of them are drawn out. Like, "The....uuhhh.... ummmm..... uuhhhh.... theme in... uuuuhhhhh.... The Awakening... uuuuhhhh..." you get the idea.
