"(prof shaking body frantically) Who's that calling me? (pretends to take a cell phone out of his pocket) Hey, you should call more often - I keep my phone on vibrate..." - a prof, who apparently hates cell phones
I don't understand why people keep their cell phones on during class, or even during school hours. Today alone, three students' cell phones went off during a lecture - in the same class, no less, in the span of about twenty minutes. Maybe I'm a complete nerd, but I can go a whole four hours (while I'm at school, even!) without speaking on the phone with a friend. If you absolutely have to have your phone on, please don't leave it on the most annoying ring tone (such as the theme from Ghostbusters) or the highest volume setting. This isn't a difficult concept, really it isn't, but it is simple common sense and courteous.
Maybe we should have a course at UTSC that teaches those kinds of things...

I know!!! It doesn't make sense at all. Whenever a phone rings during a class, the people just take it out and turn it off. Why not just have it off in the first place, or at least mute the ringer?
I guess nobody has ever thought of that.
I think UTSC should have a course on that, but it probably wouldn't work out anyway....the whole purpose of it would be destroyed in the first 10 minutes of class!
Universities also need a class on "Planning a Wedding"...Ashley and I thought of that over the summer. She's going to write a book, I'll edit it, and we'll make millions! :D
Sometimes I think that people call themselves or something in order to show off their fancy ring tones. Like, "Hey, I'm cool too - my ring tone is a Sean Paul song!!"
I don't think most people are trying to be inconsiderate... they just forget. People are forgetful.
